With the deepening of doctor-patient conflicts,doctor-patient communication has become a focus of research in the academic field.This paper studies "appropriateness of doctor-patient communication" which is a small branch of the doctor-patient communication.Studying "appropriateness doctor-patient communication",on the macroscopic,is analysising the doctorpatient communication from the linguistic perspective.So far,there are little research about this subject.This paper researches on the "appropriateness of doctor-patient communication" in the language world,physical world,cultural world and mental world,basing on the real oral corpus,under a theoretical frame work named "four worlds theory ".This thesis consists four parts:Charpter one is the introduction.This part summarizes the achievements of researching on doctor-patient communication and appropriateness.The research status are also analyzed in this charpter.Including the research object of present thesis,the source of corpus,purpose and significance of present thesis.Charpter two is about the "doctor-patient communication" and "appropriateness".It mainly analyzes the features of doctor-patient communication from four aspects as follows: the subjects(including their relationships);the content;the purpose,the evironment of communication.Besides the concept of appropriateness is defined in this chapter.Charpter three is the body part.It analyzes the appropriateness of doctor-patient communication from the language world,the physical world,the cultural world and the mental world.Additionaly,it discusses the manifestations and causes between doctors and patients in the "four worlds" and discuesses whether they conform to the basing on the appropriateness,basing on the real oral corpus.Charpter four is the conclusion.We analyze the relationships between the factors of other three worlds which we mentioned above and the mental world,then draw a conclusion as: the mental world is the highest standard of appropriateness.Lastly,we analyzes the root cause of influencing appropriateness of doctorpatient communication and puts forward the strategy to improve the appropriateness of doctor-patient communication. |
