As an important part of moral research, moral judgment has been the focus of today's research.Early research on moral judgment mainly emphasizes the role of cognitive factors and ignores the role of emotion. With the development of research on moral judgment, various theories and empirical studies have increasingly proved that emotion plays an important role in moral judgment.Facial attractiveness plays an important role in social activities, and moral judgment has many factors, and facial attractiveness is one of the factors.Throughout the previous studies, they mainly examined the attraction of the face and emotional factors alone on the impact of moral judgments. But moral judgment is a more complex process, which has many influential factors. So a separate study of a certain factor will affect the ecological validity. Therefore,it is of great significance to combine the factors of facial attractiveness and emotion to examine their influence on the moral judgment. In this study,a 3 × 2 × 2 three-factor mixed experimental design was used to examine the influence of the attraction of the stranger's face and the emotion of the observer on the moral judgment by the implicit moral judgment paradigm.Through T-test,repeated measurement of variance analysis and other statistical methods, the results showed that:1.The main effect of facial attractiveness is not significant in the time of moral judging reaction. But in the probability of moral speculation, the main effect of attraction of the face is significant,it shows obvious stereotype effect, specifically, compared with the face of low attraction,People with high attraction are considered to be more likely to engage in positive ethical behavior in line with social norms.2.The emotional state has a significant main effect on the response time of moral judgments and the probability of moral speculation.Specifically, subjects in the negative state make the longest time of moral judgments, followed by neutral emotions and positive emotional state. In the probability of moral speculation, under negative emotions, the probability is highest, followed by positive state, and finally neutral state.3.In the time of moral judgment, the interaction between attraction and emotional state is significant. However, the interaction between facial attractiveness and emotional state is not significant in the probability of moral behavior.4.The sex of the subjects has the main effect on the speculative probability of moral judgment, women are more likely to believe that strangers make moral behavior. While there is no significant difference in the response time of moral judgment.5.There is a significant interaction between subjects' gender and emotional state in response time of moral judgment. As a result, men are more susceptible to their own emotional state when they make moral judgment on others. While women in different emotional state, moral judgment time did not appear obvious difference.
