A Study On Relation Among High Scholl Students' Parenting Style,Self-support Personality And Pro-social Behaviors

This study attempts to investigate the relationship among high school students' parenting style,self-support personality and pro-social behaviors.In this study,we measured 400 high school students with s-EMBU-C,Self-Supporting Personality Scale for Adolescent Students,Pro-social Questionnaire.The results are as follow:1.The level of refusal in parenting style is high,the level of emotional warmth and over-protection is moderate.The students' pro-social behavior tendency is in the middle level.The levels of students' interpersonal self-supporting and personal self-supporting are high.2.The father gave the girl more over-protection than the boy,the mother gave the girl more over-protection and emotional warmth than the boy;in the non-single-parent family,the father and mother's emotional warmth margin scores were significantly higher than the single parent family;if the father has a higher education,the child will get more warmth.3.There is no significant gender difference in the educational background of parents,whether they are single parents,and whether they are the only children.The level of personal self-supporting of the first grade students is higher than that of the second grade.4.Non-single-parent family of high school students in the emotional,anonymous dimension score was significantly higher than the single-parent family;the pro-social behavior of the compliance dimension score of high school students of grade 2 is higher than the high school students of grade 1;if the father or the mother has a higher education,the child will have a higher level of pro-social behaviors.5.There was a significant positive correlation between the denial dimension of parents' parenting style and the interpersonal independence dimension of senior high school students,which was significantly negatively correlated with the openness and altruistic dimension of pro-social behavior.The parental parenting style of emotional warmth was positively correlated with the anonymity and tension dimension of pro-social behavior were significantly positive correlation;over-protection dimension of parental parenting style and emotional,altruistic and open dimension of pro-social behavior were significantly negative correlated;high school students' self-support personality and pro-social behavior tend to be positively correlated.6.Self-support personality plays a mediating role between father's parenting style and pro-social behavior,as well as between mother's parenting style and pro-social behavior.
