Since its implementation of the new Chinese proficiency test(hereinafter referred to as "new HSK")in 2009,it has been well received by the Chinese teaching community at home and abroad.In recent years,with the enhancement of China's comprehensive national strength,the number of candidates registered for new HSK has also been increasing.The qualification of new HSK4 has become a necessary condition for foreign students to enter Chinese universities for undergraduate study,and it is also an important reference for universities to offer scholarships for overseas students.With the increasing number of overseas students studying in China,the population registering for new HSK level 4 has also increased rapidly in recent years,and it has become an urgent need for them to pass the cet-4 test.The author has observed that overseas students and responded that reading2 is more difficult for them when taking the exam,and the test results show the lowest correct rate in this part.It can be drawn from both the students' subjective feedback and objective test that reading2 in HSK4 troubles students in a way,so the author decided to investigate and study this part.By collecting and organizing previous HSK4 tests online,the author has collected 24 sets.The author induced the testing points with the guidance of theories in Linguistics and Testing and from the perspective of the expressional function and worked out some counselling strategies on reading2 in HSK4 according to the related theories of second language acquisition.The main contents of this paper are as follows:The introduction introduces the reason and significance of the topic,review the related literature,summarizes the previous research results,points out the value of the research and explains the research object,content and method of this paper.In the first chapter,under the guidance of the theory of language testing,the purpose and significance of HSK CET-4 reading(2)are analyzed,and the basic situation of this part is introduced and statistically analyzed.Considering the purpose of the new HSK test,this paper breaks through the perspective of the previous study of complex sentence types and summarizes and arranges the 24 sets of real tests collected from the perspective of pragmatics.According to the expressive function,the author divides the true question of reading2 into three categories: description category(reference relation,ellipsis relation,logical relation,time relation,spatial relation),expository catoegory(reference relation,logical relation,fixed structure),and argumentative category(referential relation,logical relation,fixed structure,etc.),and statistically analysis the three types of examination points in the 24 sets of real questions.Different expressions have different cohesive devices.The classified data will help us to determine the important and difficult points of teaching.The second chapter,based on the classification and statistics of real problems,the important and difficult points of teaching are determined,and the principles of linguistics,psychology and pedagogy are combined to formulate four major strategies: 1.to combine teaching and practice based on the real topic,2.to teach on the base of ontology knowledge and second language acquisition theory,3.to payequal attention on both language knowledge and ability,4.to attach importance to learning strategies.Under the guidance of the strategies,the author determines the teaching content,provides guidance to vocabulary,grammar,function and learning strategies,and formulates practical teaching methods considering errors.Finally,students' feedback on the teaching contents and methods of instruction is expounded.The conclusion summarizes the research and points out the innovation and deficiency of this study.The purpose of this study is to make Chinese learners and Chinese teachers have a clearer and deeper understanding of the reading2 in HSK4 help students to overcome the difficulties in HSK4 test and provide tutors with some references.
