In recent years,with the rapid development of economy and the internal development of education,as an important part of higher education,postgraduate draw more and more attention.Because of the urgent need for high-level practical talents,the rapid development of economy and society in China,The Ministry of Education decided to set up the system of teaching professional master's degree,then Normal universities and colleges began to recruit the first full-time masters of education as the professional degree,aiming to cultivate the excellent teachers who could adapt to primary and secondary school.So the cultivation of full-time English education masters is a new research topic in our country.However,there are few researches in this area at present,and exists a certain amount of vacancies both in theory and practice.Curriculum is the core of teacher training in normal universities,which directly reflects the orientation of talent cultivation in colleges and universities.Therefore,curriculum design is so important that whether it is reasonable or not will directly affect the quality of full-time masters of education.The paper aims to explore the existing problems in curriculum setting for the cultivation of Full-time Master of Education.Firstly,the paper illustrates the research background and thesignificance of research.Then it gives the definition on the related concepts of Full-time education master,curriculum and curriculum setting.The writer also presents the characteristics of curriculum setting for full-time education masters,and the literature reviews both home and abroad.The third part of the paper is about research questions,research methods and research process.The research subjects are 60 full-time English education masters in 2014 and 2015 in Inner Mongolia Normal University.The research instruments are questionnaire and interviews.For the purpose of exploring the existing problems in curriculum setting,60 M.Ed students participate the questionnaire and 3 of them participate the interview.The writer used SPSS 17.0 to analyze the collected data and interview.The result shows that,English education masters are satisfied with the curriculum setting of M.Ed program in general.The curriculum setting in the foreign language school is satisfying both in the quantity and quality.However,it do exists some problems in course proportion,course structure,course content and the assessment.Finally,the paper gives some suggestion to the M.Ed program for the curriculum setting: 1)increasing the Proportion of Practical courses;2)diversifying the ways of assessment;3)renewing teaching materials;4)setting more selective courses;5)applying various teaching methods.
