The Visual Image Expressions Of Thematic Woodblock Printing In The Anti-war Period

The thematic print is an important type in the history of woodblock development,with a strong and broad social function.Especially in the period of the Anti-Japanese war,it is like the War song of the times,calling for the awakening of the nation.In the Chinese revolution,the visual expressions of contradictions and conflicts,the breathtaking scenes evoke the people's desire for peace and good life,and play an important role in the final victory.The woodcut in the liberated areas was one of the camps during the Anti-Japanese war.Through the real summary of the people's life in the liberated areas,it vividly depicts the change of the times,reveals the profound theme of the social panorama in that period.It gets rid of the shackles of European style,established a unique national style,and completed the historical turn of the emerging prints,which can be compared as a bright pearl in modern history.The past two years witnessed the 70 th anniversary of the Chinese people's war of resistance against war and the world anti-fascist war,the 80 th anniversary of the long March of the red army,the 95 th anniversary of the communist party of China.And provinces and municipalities held thematic art exhibitions to vigorously promote patriotism and national spirit to celebrate it.Through the analysis of the visual images of woodcut works in the liberated areas,the significance of the era and the general rules of the thematic prints and applied them into practices of my graduation works to improve their theoretical level and professional quality,and cultivate the comprehensive quality of creative theme prints,and accumulate experience for future printmaking.
