Study On The Feminism Consciousness In Feng Yuanjun's Novels

In the history of modern Chinese literature,Feng Yuanjun is a distinctive female writer.Most previous literature criticism used to evaluate her works from the perspectives of revolution,social class,the May 4^th movement and style.This thesis attempts to reinterpret the creation and aesthetics of Yuanjun's works from the perspective of Feminism Consciousness.This thesis will analyze the time and social background in which Feng lives,with the focus on the of Feminism Consciousness on the themes,characters and artistic structure of Feng Yuanjun's works,thus revealing the charm of Feng's works which is beyond time and space.This thesis consists of three chapters.The first chapter analyzes the historical,social and individual factors that promote the shaping of Feng Yuanjun's Feminism Consciousness.The feudal society which is constructed by men,in which women are in a marginal position and can't have their own cultural gender and social gender.What's more,this causes the loss and confusion of female's self-consciousness and gender consciousness.In the late 1990s and the early2000s,with the improvement women's social status,women gain more access to education,election and employment.More women start to write to resist the male-dominated society.Feng Yuanjun is a typical one.In the second chapter,this thesis will discuss the embodiment of Feng Yuanjun's Feminism Consciousness on her literature creation.As a female writer at the height of May4^th movement,Feng's works give special focus on women's love,marriage and the exploration of individual destiny during the May 4^th period.Unlike other writers,Feng puts forward women's way out their awakeners.Besides,in the explanation of love and sex,Feng's courage and sharpness exceed other female writers in the same period.The third chapter mainly analyzes the influence of Feng's Feminism Consciousness on the style of her works.The unique historical background,experiences,characteristics and literature gifts,all these make Feng have her own features in the selection of materials,the way of narration and the modeling of characters.Especially in her novels,the autobiographical style promotes the establishment of women's dominant role.
