Space On The Paper-the Application Of Parametric Design In Book Design

With the development and popularization of technology,knowledge is spread by multiple media,and this way of spreading information occupies our sensory system.While experiencing the joys of multiple information,people are still eager for the quality reading of paper books.In the process of reading paper books,readers can have a spiritual resonance with the writers.As a carrier of knowledge,books can also create an atmosphere that connects the readers with the surroundings.For meeting the need of high quality reading,book design turns to develop in the direction of multidimensional space from the traditional two-dimensional display.In order to seek more visual effects,the designer tends to design books in the direction of 3D space and diversified space.The inherent space form cannot meet the development trend of contemporary visual art.Parametric design can build a unique visual language in designing a three-dimensional structure.It not only has the general visual effect,but also expands and updates on the basis of graphic design,making graphics into a three-dimensional structure and adding new possibilities for the three-dimensional structure design of books.The parameterized design method not only broadens the expression form of art,but also embodies the combination of scientific thinking and artistic thinking.This article first introduces the basic concept of parametric design to the readers,and then explores the relationship between parametric design and the spatial structure of books by analyzing and summarizing the possibility and regularity of applying parametric design to the three-dimensional structure design of books.Secondly,it analyzes the problems that can be encountered in practice according to different forms.Finally,the practice results are applied to the production of the design works of books.According to different works,the article expounds the problems encountered in the production and how tosolve them.In this article,the significance of parametric design in shaping the three-dimensional structure of paper and its future development are also discussed.
