The Research On Relationship Among The Help-seeking Behavior,Anxiety And Loneliness In College Students | | Posted on:2018-04-18 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:E S Yan | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2335330542476486 | Subject:Applied Psychology | | Abstract/Summary: | | | Psychological research found that loneliness is a kind of common emotion and feeling to the college students.It is the important factors that affect college students’mental health.Positive social support is the guarantee of mental health factors.When we confronte with difficulties,we believe that help-seeking and support actively will help to solve difficult and ease the negative emotions,such as the feeling of loneliness,so as to enhance the level of mental health.The paper will explore the mechanism of the individual help-seeking behavior and anxiety and loneliness.First of all,we compily the Help-seeking Behavior Questionnaire of College Students;Secondly,we investigate the present situation and characteristics of college students help-seeking behavior,anxiety and loneliness with the self-made questionnaire,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and the UCLA Loneliness Scale;Finally this paper discusse the relationship among the college students’ help-seeking behavior,anxiety and loneliness.The results of the study are as follows;(1)The Help-seeking Behavior Questionnaire of College Students is reliable and valid(2)College students have significant differences in gender,major and homeland on the help-seeking behavior and emotions-interpersonal help-seeking behavior.College students have significant differences in gender,grade,major and homeland on career-development help-seeking behavior and life-learn help-seeking behavior.(3)College students have significant differences in homeland on anxiety level.(4)College students have significant differences in the state of love on the loneliness.(5)There have significant negative correlations between anxiety and the help-seeking behavior,career-development help-seeking behavior and life-learn help-seeking behavior.life-learn help-seeking behavior has negative prediction effects on anxiety.(6)College students have significant and negative correlations between loneliness and the help-seeking behavior.life-learn help-seeking behavior and career-development help-seeking behavior has negative prediction effects on loneliness.(7)College students have significant positive correlations between anxiety and loneliness,anxiety has positive prediction effects on loneliness.(8)Anxiety plays a role of being a mediator between life-learn help-seeking behavior and loneliness. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | help-seeking behavior, psychological help seeking, academic help-seeking, anxiety, loneliness | | Related items |
