Based on relevant data and one-semester empirical experiment,this paper explains how to utilize WeChat in supporting interpreting-teaching online from different levels and perspectives.And it also explains how to solve the problems of interaction in traditional face-to-face teaching class.Besides,both advantages and disadvantages of online interpreting teaching are elaborated,with a view to exploring the possibility of WeChat as an interpreting-learning platform,and thus providing reference for its teaching and a detailed solution in interaction.Undoubtedly,interaction plays a significant role in interpreting learning.Yet,because of the limited time,a series of negative factors appear in traditional interpreting classes,for example,uneven question answering times,restrained stating time,fewer practical chances after class,lack of teacher's feedback in practice and incapability of the reappearing of practical process.Also,since most of the teaching practices are limited to the classroom,students only get fewer opportunities to be corrected and guided by teachers,and meanwhile teachers are unable to receive information and feedback related to interpreting exercise.As a result,its teaching result will be negatively affected due to insufficient interaction.In addition,interaction intensity and time before class,in class and after class shows a large gap to satisfy the actual demand.Above problems can be handled to a certain extent by the instant interactive function of mobile learning.Over the recent years,mobile learning has caught wide public concern from educational scholars all over the world.Centering on individual student,the mobile learning can cater for their individualized learning demands and further furnish students and teachers with an excellent platform for interpreting learning and teaching.With the wide popularity of mobile device and rapid progress of mobile network,WeChat has become an indispensable application in China.Its three main functions,namely WeChat group,WeChat public platform and moments,are approaches to resolving insufficient interactions partially.Free from region restrictions,the WeChat-based interpreting platform can also break the limitation of time,thereby assisting traditional teaching mode and strengthening interaction.Notably,apart from improving students' comprehensive interpretation skills and abilities,the platform can be also helpful for teachers' broadening the depth and breadth of interpreting research and accumulating research data.In terms of interpreting teaching,WeChat public platform serves to be an effective corpus of interpreting teaching,which is therefore considered as a valuable data source to explore interpreting works,phenomena and learning methods.As a teaching assistant,I have helped the teacher who is in charge of the teaching of interpreting in Xinjiang Agricultural University for four months.By a semester of empirical experiment and analysis,a detailed summary is made on WeChat with powerful interactive function.This translation experiment consists of four steps:first,select two classes(of same major,same grade and same teacher)to attend a strict interpreting test,classify and store all the data and questionnaire result for comparison with the following experimental results;second,take one of the classes as the experimental group,and use WeChat-based platform to help and coordinate face-to-face teaching class,so as to enhance teacher-student interaction;take the other group as the control group that doesn't involve in any other supporting experiments except normal interpreting courses;third,assess this translation experiment through the final interpreting score and questionnaire analysis;finally,compare the results before experiment and after experiment,and comprehensively evaluate their studying efficiency,feasibility and operability of WeChat as an interpreting learning platform.On the basis of experiment result,the paper points out that although the interpreting teaching platform based on WeChat is very far from replacing traditional teaching,it can be a good supplement and can settle the problems of interactions to some extent.
