As one of the Thirteen Classics of Confucianism,the book of Filial Piety is considered as a classic work to inherit the principles and reasons of practicing the filial piety.As a method to manage the country,it has a significant impact on maintaining the social stability and plays a positive role in making the superiors and the inferiors live in harmony among each other in the history of Chinese imperial rule.Moreover,the Filial Piety is the only work to interpret the principles of the filial piety comprehensively and systematically in the history of China.And the filial piety concerning in the book of Filial Piety contains various meanings,such as treating parents well,respecting their ancestors and members of their clans,having a son to carry on the family line,being loyal to the sovereign,gaining their own fame and position.In addition,the managerial wisdom of filial piety includes that distinctive contents of filial piety for five different classes,the principles of practicing the filial piety,the management based on the filial piety as the guiding ideology of management,and claims to praise highly of noble morality and practice the filial piety as the fundamental method of the management and to make humans honor their parents and assist each other between friends and family members as the ultimate target of the management and so on.Based on the overall thought,“filial piety is the root of morality”,humans should break the conventional relationships between the individuals and themselves,families,enterprises and countries.Further,humans should draw an analogy between the networks of human life and the networks of the five cardinal relations.If humans can deal properly with the five cardinal relations,the problems existing in the management will be solved appropriately.It is obvious that the above-mentioned vital managerial wisdom has great contemporary value to the society.Specifically,for humans themselves,managing themselves with filial piety is good for their self-management;for the family,managing the family with filial piety is beneficial to obtain mutual respect and harmonious communication;for the enterprise,managing the enterprise with filial piety is conductive to promote the managers' qualities and then to make their employees' life more prosperous and stable;and for the country,managing the country with filial piety will be helpful to carry out the virtues of loyalty and patriotism.By vigorously practicing the filial piety,humans will become amiable men who pay more attention to their development pf personal characters and their moral accomplishment;then for the family,the family will become a model family in which each member has the virtues of loyalty,filialness,benevolence and righteousness and they respect the old and cherish the young;and the enterprise will become a big community with sound and harmonious working atmosphere in which everyone unites with each other;furthermore,the society will become a state of ceremonies where each member loves and respects each other and everyone is equipped with the virtues of courtesy and honesty.And for the country,it will be in its heyday of peace and prosperity where the country is wealthy and the people are strong and powerful,even the weapons and arms will not be used anymore.
