In the rapidly changing era of the late Qing dynasty,many people were making every effort to save the destiny of their nation.As a supervision of the Censor,Dean of the Academy and general manager of the University in the time of the Emperor Guangxu,Tu Renshou were also thinking about the future with the way of defensive and flexible,he wants to achieve self-protection Paul and fighting for it in his life.The thesis takes Tu Renshou as a case study,through the historical analysis method to analyze his practices in different stage,and re-understand the value and significance of Tu Renshou kept.First of all,the thesis starts from the background of the times where Tu Renshou lived to tease out his life and understand him.By combing his concrete practice between the defensiveness and the transmigration and other people's response,we can analyze the value of Tu Renshou.Finally,I want to show you the connotation,value and significance of his thought.Most of the defensive passages in the thesis are his traditional policy of government.Initially,Tu Renshou thought a prosperous nation need to enhance the moral cultivation,formulate social regulation,punitive measure and keep incorrupt government.He attempted to persuade the Empress Dowager Cixi not to waste public purse,but failed.He proposed to eliminate the government's maladministration,neglect of duty,selfish,take bribes and pervert the law and so on.He impeached many ministers who defied legal institution.Since the French invasion the Vietnam,the conflict of the Sino-French cannot be reconciled;Tu Renshou advocated fighting against the France earlier and put forward a series of effective measures for it.It promoted the China to achieve self-reliance.However,located in behind,knew a bit of naval battle and modern armaments and so on,He cannot hold the war comprehensive.In treating the people,he reminded the rulers should care about the people's livelihood by using the principle of "people can carry boats and to overturn It." The ruler should treat people by "cultivate their talents," conduct "benevolent government" and "pay attention to their lives."This thesis intends to analyze the practice of Tu Renshou in three aspects.Firstly,in the political reform,by combing the background of the times and the views ofpeople in time,I want to find out the similarities and differences between Tu Renshou and Kang Liang and analyze the value of their practice.In the construction of the railway,I want to show you Tu Renshou's view on the railway and to analyze his proposal of road construction.In culture and education,his practice of education reflects the changing course of his educational philosophy and value.Tu Renshou has the patriotism of deep foolishness,the persistent spirit of courageously expression and dedication,and the patriotic feelings of defending the shame resolutely,which can promote the transformation of social values.After encountering the "changes in the millennium," Tu Renshou recognized the world trend and learned the parliamentary system,demanded that the road should be opened to the public and both monarchs and public should to govern nation in common.He could put forward his own views on the issue of railway construction actively and absorbed western education Practice,which could promote the social transformation in late Qing Dynasty.
