In this study, literature analysis and questionnaire surveys were used to systematically analyze the relationship between belief in a just world, empathy, and attributional style, and altruistic behaviors of junior high school students, and explored the model of belief in a just world affecting altruistic behavior, and reviewed the differences of belief in a just world, empathy, attributional style and altruistic behavior on demographic variables.A questionnaire survey was used to select 830 junior high school students from two middle schools in Yongnian District of Handan City.A total of 751 valid questionnaires were collected. The main results of the study are as follows:(1)There is no significant gender difference between the belief in a just world and altruistic behaviors of junior middle school students, but there are significant gender differences in empathy and attributional style.Empathy of girls is significantly higher than that of boys, the internal attributional tendency of boys is significantly higher than that of girls.Belief in a just world, altruistic behavior and empathy of class cadre students are significantly higher than those of non-class cadre students, but there is no significant difference between class cadre students and non-class cadre students in attributional style. There are significant differences in the attributional style of junior high school students, the internal attributional tendency of rural students is significantly higher than that of urban students. There are significant grade differences in belief in a just world, empathy, and altruistic behavior of junior high school students;however, there is no significant difference in whether there is only one child or household monthly income.(2)There is a significant positive correlation between belief in a just world and altruistic behavior, and there is a significant positive correlation between them and empathy. There is a significant negative correlation between belief in a just world and and attributional style. There is a significant negative correlation between empathy and and attributional style.Altruistic behavior is negatively related to the attributional style, but it is not significant.(3)Empathy fully mediated the relationship between belief in a just world and altruistic behavior.(4)Attributional style moderated the relationship between belief in a just world and empathy. The mediation of empathy was moderated by attributional style, and a moderated mediation model was formed.(5)The indirect effect of teacher justice through empathy on altruistic behavior is moderated by the attributional style. The attributional style moderated the first half of the mediating effect. The higher the internal control tendency, the more significant the indirect effect is.(6)Attributional style moderated the direct and indirect effect of fair social environment on altruistic behavior. The direct effect in low and middle group of attributional style is significant, the effect value of the two groups is negative, and the effect degree of the low group is higher than that of the group. In the low and high group of attributional style, the indirect effect of social environmental justice through empathy affects the altruistic behavior is significantly, and the effect of the two groups is opposite. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)Belief in a just world of junior high school students are in the upper middle level, and altruistic behavior is in the medium level.(2)Belief in a just world influences altruistic behavior through empathy.(3)Belief in a just world influences altruistic behavior through empathy, which varies according to the different levels of attributional style. The higher the internal attribution tendency, the greater the influence of belief in a just world on altruistic behavior through empathy.
