Three sections are included in the research. The first section is the revision of How I Feel questionnaire. The second section is the revision of Children's Emotion Regulation Checklist(parent version). In the last section, the relationship among learning motivation, academic engagement and academic achievement was investigated.besides, how emotional and emotional regulation function in the study of pupil were explored.Handy sampling was used for the investigation. One primary school in Handan City,in which six classes of grade four to grade six are separately chosen, totally 338 pupils were tested to evaluate their own emotion and the motivation of study. The parents of the 338 pupils participating in the study was asked to evaluate their children's emotion regulation,And the degree of learning engagement was evaluated by their head teacher.Choosing exam results as a measure of academic achievement. We can make the following conclusion by statistical analysis:1.The revised “Self-Emotions Questionnaire” has good measurement indicators,it consists of five dimensions: positive emotional frequency, positive emotional intensity, negative emotional frequency, negative emotional intensity, and emotional control;2.The “Emotion Regulation Scale” compiled by Shields et al.,is suitable for measuring the emotional regulation of pupil in China. The reliability and validity are at high levels. And the scale is composed of three dimensions: positive regulation of emotions, negative regulation of emotions, and instability.3.There are significant differences in demographic variables between primary school students' learning motivation, academic engagement, academic achievement, and emotional and emotional regulation.Parent-child relationships in particular have a significant effect on children's learning ability and emotion.4.There is a significant correlation between the emotional and emotional regulation of The upper grade of primary school.5.The impacts of three dimensions of learning motivation(learning efficacy, learning expectation, learning importance)on academic achievement are partly mediated by academic achievement.6.Pupils' emotional and emotional regulation have moderating effects on learning motivation, academic engagement and academic achievement.Emotional control has a moderating effect between learning motivation and academic engagement. For the children who have higher ability of emotional control, the higher learning motivation they have, the higher degree of academic engagement they will be.While the relationship between motivation and engagement are weaker if the children have poor emotional control. The frequency of positive emotions has a moderating effect between learning motivation and academic achievement.Children with higher positive emotional experience and higher learning motivation are more likely to get higher academic achievement, while those who have lower positive emotion frequency,at the same level of motivation, the achievement they get are more likely lower than the former.
