With the deepening of creativity research in the field of creativity and psychology,many research results have been widely used in social practice.As a way to guide and inspire people's creativity,creative techniques are highly anticipated by the society,but it also be questioned because of the uncertainty in effectiveness and applicability.So we need to use scientific methods to verify the effectiveness of creative techniques.Establish a system of creative techniques in order that all kinds of new and old creative techniques could get its own use,survival of the fittest.Only a few of the existing hundreds of creative techniques have been studied.There is more need us to test its effectiveness and provide theoretical basis.This study explores a creative technique from the perspective of social psychology-the combinatorial creation method,which has been widely used in social practice,but the theoretical research is extremely scarce.This paper is composed of two parts.The first research aims to examine the effectiveness of the combinatorial creation method during the process of creative thought activities.The research adopts between-subject design,it selects 66 subjects and allocates them into two research condition groups(i.e.the combinatorial creation method group and control group)to discuss whether there is a striking difference on level of creativity between the two groups.The second research adopts three-factor design,it selects 360 subjects and allocates them into 12 research condition groups to focus on the discussion that what effects the three factors-the combinatorial creation method(have/not),group types(nominal group/interactive group)and difficulty state(high difficulty group/ medium difficulty group/ low difficulty group)exert on the individual creative output and whether there is interaction among them.The reference point of dependent variable can be divided into the following three parts-fluency,originality and flexibility of creative output.The results showed:1.Study the combinatorial creation can improve the fluency,originality and flexibility of creative output dramatically.The combinatorial creation can influence the creative output of subjects on the task of divergent thinking.2.The creative output of learning skill group was significantly higher than the control group in the middle and low difficult levels tasks.3.The interactive group get a bigger boost on the flexibility of creative output through the study of the combination creation method in the middle difficult level tasks.4.The nominal group and interactive group both get greatly improved on the flexibility of creative output through the study of the combination creation method in the low difficult level tasks.5.The nominal group performed better than the interactive group in the originality of creative output at all difficult levels tasks.
