The Influence Of Personal Sense Of Power On Nostalgia

Nostalgia in the modern sense is generally regarded as a longing to return to the past,the longing for idealized past,the longing for the past,which is a pervasive psychological experience.To explore the psychological mechanism of nostalgia for the correct understanding of nostalgia,it has a positive effect on helping individuals actively respond to social threats and pressure.Based on the approach-avoidance theory of power,this study explores the relationship between the sense of and nostalgia,based on the theory of the sense of power,and the intrinsic mechanism of the right of power.The study contains three sub studies:Study 1(N=117)which based on the background of the organization,using the questionnaire survey,the relationship between power and nostalgia,initially confirmed the negative relationship between power and nostalgia.The study 2(N=60)students as a test,using paper-pen experiments,through the recall method to start the sense of power,and measurement of the social connectedness,nostalgic psychology.Duplicate validation study 1 conclusion and analyze the mediating role of social connectedness.The study3(N=128),taking the student as a test,using the paper pen experiment,through the role playing the power of initiation,completing the sense of power and social connectedness measurement,then being tried to accept the self-construction guiding language activation,the final measure of the self-construction and nostalgia psychology.Aimed at exploring impact the sense of power on nostalgia mechanism and self-construal as the moderate role.The conclusion were as follows:(1)Power has a significant negative impact on nostalgia.Compared with the low sense of power individual,high power sense of the individual has a lower nostalgia proneness;(2)Social connectedness mediated the relationship between power and nostalgia.Power improved individuals' socialconnectedness,thus reduced individuals' nostalgia Proneness.(3)The relationship between power and social connectedness was moderated by self-construal.the relationship was not only negatively moderated by interdependent self-construal but also positively moderated by independent self-construal;(4)The indirect relationship(Power—Social connectedness—Nostalgia)was negatively moderated by interdependent self-construal and positively moderated by interdependent self-construal.
