IntroductionSleep has an important affect on human psychosomatic health, poor quality of sleep effected emotional state, living standards and work efficiency. As the research on mindfulness increased, researchers are paying more and more attention on the mechanisms which mindfulness impact on sleep quality. But,what is the mechanisms? What mental qualities have a direct or indirect impact on sleep quality? It is extremely necessary to explore these questions in improving the quality of sleep and promoting physical and mental health.Previous studies showed that,as one part of high pressure groups, university students had severe sleep problems. Therefore, this study chose university student as the research subject, explored mindfulness, cognitive emotion regulation strategies and anxiety influence on sleep quality and researched these mental qualities' mechanisms from the perspective of psychology such as cognition and emotion. This study would contribute to intervening university students' mental health and helping them increase their sleep quality and enhance their physical and mental health from the aspect of theory.Methods450 university students from five colleges by convenient cluster sampling.397 copies are valid returned questionnaires. All questionnaires included Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire(FFMQ)?Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ)?Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).All data were analyzed by T-test of Independent,Pearson Correlation,Regression Analysis and Structure Equation Model(SEM).Results & Conclusions(1)The level of university students' sleep quality was poor and significantly different in some demographical variables.(2)Each two of the four variables which are mindfulness, cognitive emotion regulation strategies, anxiety and sleep quality showed significant correlation.(3)Mindfulness directly affected sleep quality, and it also affected indirectly sleep quality through negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies and anxiety.Negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies and anxiety were partial intermediary roles.(4)Mindfulness,cognitive emotion regulation strategies, anxiety had significant effect on sleep qulity.Act aware, rumination, catastrophizing and other-blame had significant direct impact on sleep quality.(5)Cognitive emotion regulation strategies had significant indirect impact on sleep quality.Positive cognitive emotion regulation strategies had no effect on sleep quality.Negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies affected sleep quality through the anxiety.Anxiety was completely mediating role.(6)Anxiety had significant direct impact on sleep quality.
