Report On C-E Translation Of Excerpts From Health Preserving Of Five Organs In TCM

With virtue of its marvelous effects on body building and life span,health preserving is one of the essential parts of traditional Chinese culture.With the upgrading of China 's international status and the growing influence of China on the world,Chinese culture begins to move towards the world,and health preserving has gradually been recognized and approved by the international community.Translation of health preserving is beneficial to "going out" of the culture of TCM,which provides a reference value to the inheritance and upholding of traditional culture of TCM.Health Preserving of Five Organs in TCM is rich in content,and its lucid explanation is easy to understand,which is suitable for both young and old.In this book,the words are combined by ancient Chinese and modern Chinese.A lot of great lines of health preserving are cited,and profound basic theory and culture of TCM are contained.In this report,the content of health preserving of lungs in chapter 4 is selected as the subject of translation practice and case study,which is expected to offer reference for the translation of health preserving of TCM.This report is divided into four chapters:chapter 1 gives a brief introduction to this translation task;chapter 2 describes the process of translation task in detail,mainly from the preparation before translation,the process during translation and the proofreading after translation;chapter 3 is the core,which focuses on the analyzing of the translation practice of health preserving by the application of translation techniques,such as transliteration,free translation,literal translation and so on under the guidance of relevance theory from the perspective of terminology,syntax and textual translation of TCM;chapter 4 summarizes the significance,gains and deficiencies of this translation practice.Through the translation practice of health preserving texts,the author has deeply recognized that a qualified translator not only needs the better bilingual conversion ability,but also the in-depth study in health preserving.The author also hopes that this translation practice report can bring inspiration to the translation practice of health preserving texts and provide reference values for the foreign exchanges of traditional Chinese health preserving culture.
