This report is based on the author's interpreting practice in the Bottling Center of Yantai Changyu International Wine City.Instructed by relative domestic and foreign interpreting theories,the author analyzes some typical examples and provides her own suggestions and tactics for different issues in the process of interpreting.The author hopes that these may provide some reference and guidance for interpreting learners and practitioners in relevant fields.This report is divided into four parts.The first part is task description,which includes brief introduction to Bottling Center of Yantai Changyu International Wine City,the interpreter's tasks,and requirements from the client.The second part is task process,which includes pre-interpreting,interpreting process and post-interpreting.Pre-interpreting is the preparation in theory,background and vocabulary before interpreting;interpreting process is working process description in each day and month;and post-interpreting is the introspection and self-learning after interpreting.The third part is case analysis,the main part of the report.It discusses the performance and impact of interpreter's visibility consciousness and non-neutrality standpoint combined with typical cases.The last part is task summary,in which the author sums up her experience of escort interpreting practice and puts forward some suggestions for the further improvement of herself and other interpreting learners.According to the case analysis and summary,the author puts forward the following views: Firstly,the interpreter should never be a mere “invisible interpreting machine”,but should properly give play to his/her visibility consciousness according to different discourse contexts.He/she should act the role better as gatekeeper,mediator and co-constructor to ensure the smooth communication between the two parties,and avoid communication barriers or even the breakdown of conversations due to the differences in languages,cultures and customs.Secondly,the interpreter should appropriately choose his/her non-neutrality standpoint according to the self-selection and the requirement of employers.In this way,the interpreter can better serve for clients and interlocutors,facilitate communications between two parties,and balance their benefits.
