This paper on the basis of previous studies,through the experimental research on the valence and arousal of different emotional states,individual reading speed and reading effect of different reading materials are different,in order to further explore the emotional valence and arousal types of reading materials and the influence of individual reading.This study consists of two parts.The first part is the evaluation and selection of emotional pictures.The second part is the design of reading experiments under different emotional states.The two part of experiment second,using the first part of the picture selected to induce the corresponding emotional state,two experiments are 2(emotion valence: positive,negative)*2(emotional arousal: high arousal and low arousal(*2)sentence types: subject clause,object clause)the three factor completely randomized experimental design,the first experiment the dependent variable is the sentence reading time,the dependent variables of the second experiments is to detect whether there is a sentence in the reading of the correct rate and reaction time,through two experiments to study the effects of different dimensions of emotion on individual English reading speed,and influence the effect of individual reading,the results are as follows:(1)sentence types have an effect on the speed of English reading.The reading speed of object clauses is faster than that of subject clauses;however,sentence types have no significant influence on the reading effect of English reading materials.(2)the degree of emotional pleasure English reading material reading speed has no significant effect,but has a significant impact on the English material effect of reading and reading effect for specific performance of negative emotions better than positive emotion reading effect.(3)emotional arousal of English reading material reading speed has significant effect,high arousal English reading material reading faster than low emotional arousal conditions more slowly;reading effect will also be emotional arousal effects,high arousal conditions of reading better.The results of this study verify the theory of cognitive resources to some extent,and play a certain role in promoting the interaction between emotion and reading as well as the relationship between the two.
