This paper takes the trans-boundary singing methods as the research subject.It researches on and analyzes the current state of the trans-boundary singing methods at home and abroad with the combined method of macro and micro analysis,the method of summarization and induction and of the case study.In the research,relevant literatures were collected to absorb their essences,while the author's practices with trans-boundary singing methods were also taken as references,to reveal the author's personal ideas on the development of the trans-boundary singing methods.It is hoped to give references and guidance to the trans-boundary singing methods to the university and college students in the major of popular singing,to enhance the author's own deeper understanding on the art of vocal music,and also to enrich the existent literatures on the trans-boundary singing methods.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part mainly introduces the origin and the current state of the trans-boundary singing methods.First of all,it points out that the trans-boundary singing methods came from the 19 th century,originated from the trans-boundary music.It lists the current definitions of the trans-boundary singing methods after its rapid development since the start of the 20 th century and illustrates that the trans-boundary singing methods are characterized by what the author summarizes as“a ribbon between the multiple music varieties and the diverse needs of the people”.It also briefly introduces the achievements made so far in the trans-boundary singing methods pushed forward the representative figures from home and abroad.In the second part,it mainly follows the main course of the author's studying experiences and the author's understanding on using the trans-boundary singing methods in the concerts and uses the song titled “Night of Ulan Bator” as an example to summarize the author's questions and solutions in the practice.Also by researches on the musical form analysis on the songs and the trans-boundary musical elements,it intends to summarize and elaborate on the inspirations from the combination of theories and practices,elaborate on the requirements of this song on the singers,and reflect that the trans-boundary singing methods call for extremely strong technical abilities and emotional expressive force of the singers,among other things.In the third part,it sorts out and summarizes the author's understandings on the trans-boundary singing methods,including the necessity of the trans-boundary singing methods in the vocal music teaching and the role of the trans-boundary singingmethods in promoting the protection of the traditional vocal music cultural protection and its linkage with the international music.By illustrating the demonstration of the ecological and traditional folk songs in the trans-boundary songs,it indicates the positive significance of the trans-boundary methods on the inheritance of the art and culture of the vocal music.Also from the perspectives of a student,it envisions the potential future of the trans-boundary singing methods in the future teaching and puts forward individual views on its subsequent development and perfection.
