A Study Of Discourse Marker "Zheyang(这样)" And Its Related Format Functions

This dissertation mainly investigates the discourse organization function and expression function of"Zheyang(这样)"as a discourse marker in modern Chinese.Based on the existing related research results on the demonstrative pronoun"Zheyang(这样)",through the analysis of the corpus and the related theory of discourse markers,the function of"Zheyang(这样)"as a discourse marker is examined in detail.Disaggregated according to the dissimilarity of the discourse markers"Zheyang(这样)"and its contextual relevance and whether there is a discourse organization function to change the topic.According to different classifications,the functional patterns of the more typical discourse marker"Zheyang(这样)"often appear in modern Chinese,and compared with the"Zheyang(这样)"function,to find out the connections and differences between their functions.The second chapter mainly judges the nature of"Zheyang(这样)"according to the theory of discourse markers.According to the semantic forward-backward nature of the"Zheyang(这样)"as demonstrative pronouns and the difference between the discourse markers"Zheyang(这样)"and the contextual context classify the discourse marker"Zheyang(这样)"and conduct a functional investigation.Through observing and summarizing the function table of discourse markers"Zheyang(这样)",according to the different organizational functions of the discourses in"Zheyang(这样)"related format,based on whether there is a function of converting topics,the discourse markers"Zheyang(这样)"are divided into acceptance categories discourse markers and conversion topics discourse marker.Chapters 3 and 4 mainly discuss the acceptance discourse markers relevant formsof"Zheyang(这样)":"Zheyangdehua(这样的话)"and"Zheyangyilai(这样一来)"and the related format of the conversion topic class discourse markers"Zheyang(这样)":"Yaobuzheyang(要不这样)","Nazheyang(那这样)"and"Shizheyang(是这样)".Than analyze their components and their functions,and find out their similarities and differences in the function of the discourse markers"Zheyang(这样)".Finally,summarized to generate a function table of the discourse marker"Zheyang(这样)"and its related format.
