A Report On Translation Of Shangri-la Hotel Contract

With the rapid pace of globalization of the world economy and the progress of China's reform and opening up,the development of the hotel industry is also booming.And with the rapid development of the hotel industry,the number of related hotel contracts are also increased.Hotel contracts belong to sales contracts,with the characteristics of concise language,clear logic,and high expertise.The difficulty that the translator faces is how to transfer a hotel contract text with legal effects and characteristics into a target language,especially in Chinese,within the time limit required by the clients.The features of words and expressions of sentence structures are mainly analyzed in this thesis,and the solutions to the problems are also mentioned.This report is aimed to provide the enlightenment for the translation of hotel contract,and improve the quality of translation.Taking a Shangri-La hotel contract translation as an example,the author firstly states the market and prospects of the translation of hotel contracts,analyzes the professional terms and sentence features of hotel-type texts with instantiations,and emphatically introduces the difficulties in the translation process,and put forward final reasonable solutions.In the view of the writer,the translator should not only grasp the client's needs and purposes,but also should be faithful to the source text.Besides,the writer emphasizes the importance of the translation,it can both improve the efficiency and quality of the translation.
