Research On Character Modeling Design Of Minority Groups In Yunnan

This paper analyzes artistic features and folk-custom differences,as well as the original form and the current form,of “character modeling & decoration for minorities in Yunnan”,which reflects a diversified culture and substantial national arts.Combining field survey and different characters' modality & decoration,“Yi”,“Hani”,“Dai”,and “Jino” among 25 minorities are selected for the creative work.Original and creative artistic techniques are adopted for the decoration and creation.Freehand sketching is the technique of expression,and the poster is the pattern of manifestation.The character and mien of minorities in Yunnan are demonstrated,and moreover new creative design is expressed.Therefore,the art work conforms to the development trend of modern minorities in Yunnan,and also arouses people's great interest in these minorities.In order to add some visual features to the posters,creative design is based on the theme of “character modeling & decoration for minorities in Yunnan”,aiming to raise people's attention and awareness of these minorities.The graduation project consists of multiple series of creative posters themed on “character modeling & decoration for minorities in Yunnan”.This paper is a beneficial attempt to study the cultural connotation of minorities in Yunnan,character shape design,and market development & style positioning for posters.
