Research On Miao Embroidery Patterns In Guanling,Guizhou

Miao embroidery pattern is a part of Chinese ethnic art,and it formed the form of unique cultural and artistic in the long process of historical development of the Miao.It not only carries the historic memory of the Miao,but also the industrious and wise crystallization of the Miao.Guizhou is the most inhabited provinces of the Miao with many branches,and its clothing and embroidery patterns is very diverse and distinctive.Guanling Miao costumes are the second batch of intangible cultural heritage in the country.As the object of study,it is important in cultural and artistic value to investigate its art form,craftwork and culture.Through the analysis of field investigation and literature,this paper uses the research methods from ethnology,art,and arts and science to research on the art form,craftwork,culture,and heritage issues of Guanling Miao embroidery pattern.Through comparative analysis the color of the patterns theme types formed characteristics,to capture the aesthetic features of the Miao and the clothing culture characteristic in carriers,like clothing,Boishan,headdress,the package and so on.And further exploration from the typical embroidery technologies of Guanling the Miao branch,like paper-cut embroidery,horsetail embroidery,applique embroidery and count yarn embroidery,so as to highlight the deep cultural connotation of material and spirit of the Miao in the living customs,religious belief and folk legends.Through inspecting the present situation of Guanling Miao people embroidery pattern,researching the background of manual production replaced by modern machines and the market supply and demand of the Miao clothing embroidery,and analyzing the slicle reasons of of traditional hand embroidery.Embroidery patterns from life and goes beyond it.It not only has the aesthetic function,but also contains the belief and worship of the Miao.Embroidery pattern is the carrier that reflects the social relations,folk customs,values and national identity,and the inheritance and thinking in the value of Guanling Miao embroidery pattern.Through the research on the Miao embroidery in Guanling,to explore its unique artistic features and implication,is the best way to inherit,exchange and develop the diversify value of the national culture.
