Research On The Application Of Traditional Patterns In Miao 's Embroidery

Xiangxi is located in the northwest of Hunan province, the historical and geographical environment special make many ethnic minorities in this community, and create the mysterious culture of Xiangxi, which is one of the main body of the Miao minority. In the course of history, the Miao people have created a rich national culture, in the process of artistic achievement is outstanding, such as embroidery、batik、 silverware、filed flower、the embroidery history the most far-reaching, with its unique and exquisite known to the world.Inthe Xiangxi Miao embroidery patterns, almost each pattern contains very rich cultural connotation, these patterns instead of text function records the entire nation for thousands of years of history, is a part of the Miao people in life, but also their life hope. With the development of society, people’s living habits and aesthetic taste gradually improved, the protection and inheritance of traditional culture is facing a strong impact. Faced with this situation, the development and application of the embroidery pattern is particularly important.This paper studies the application of traditional pattern in Xiangxi are discussed.Formation factors and characteristics firstly Xiangxi Miao cultural situation pattern briefly, followed by the species of Xiangxi embroidery pattern analysis extends to the aesthetic rules they follow. Secondly, these patterns contain how beauty is reflected in art and design,the costume design、packaging design、modern home textile design and three cases were described, the feasibility of Miao rich patterns in modern design and necessity.
