Miao embroidery pattern of southeast in Guizhou, which has a long history and a profound cultural connotation, it's an important component of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage in China, it is valueable to research. Miao embroidery pattern is that people for thousands of years since the crystallization of collective wisdom. It's a cultural form that is created by people of Miao minority in the long-term strugglling with nature. Guizhou is the largest residence of Miao minority, the embroidery pattern represent the highest level of Miao embroidery in the region, while it's a brilliant style of embroidery pattern in the international community.With the rapid development of China economy and the invasion of foreign culture, Miao embroidery pattern of the original style dissapeared for a long time, the traditional patterns of embroidery have faded or been lost. Today, with the "National Style" burning more intensely, digging the essence of the Miao Embroidery pattern and using the fashionable elements of Miao embroidery pattern to design is very important. Not only to preserve the Miao embroidery but also to develop the modern designs, to achieve a "double-win".In this thesis, Miao embroidery pattern of Southeast in Guizhou is the subject of research. To explore the cultural connotation, species, acupuncture, manifestations and the essence of Miao embroidery pattern, to protect the Miao embroidery pattern, to enrich and develop the manifestations of modern design.This issue is an important component of the study of Miao embroidery pattern, it mainly includes the following aspects:Chapter one, to study the historical origins of Miao and Miao embroidery pattern from a historical perspective. Chapter two, to study the color, design theme, the pattern forms of Miao embroidery pattern, etc. From the personal character to the general character, from special character to general character, to sum up a common feature of the Miao embroidery patterns in the end. Chapter three, on the base of previous study of the Miao embroidery pattern, have a further analysis of the aesthetic of Miao embroidery pattern, in order to make us have a better understanding of the connotation of Guizhou Miao embroidery pattern. Chapter four, to study the craftsmanship and materials of Miao embroidery pattern. Chapter five, to summary the common characteristics between modern cosume designs and Miao embroidery dress patterns; according to the analysis of the previous results, to explore the methods of Miao embroidery pattern in modern cosume designs. Finally, put forward my views about the protection, inheritance, development and utilization of the Miao embroidery pattern.
