Study On The Application Of Scroll Design In Dunhuang Grottoes In Modern Design

Based on the analysis of the historical evolution of scroll design in Dunhuang Grottoes and its cultural heritage in the cultural exchanges,this article aims to explore how to combining traditional pattern and modern design in contemporary practice.First of all,the divisional study of scroll design in Dunhuang Grottoes was analyzed based on the analysis of the historical evolution and cultural context of scroll design in Dunhuang Grottoes.Weiter,we also analyzed the characteristics of scroll design in Dunhuang Grottoes,including its structure,constituent elements and the color relations.Secondly,we analyzed and summarized the scope and method of application of the scroll Design in modern design,so as to clarify the application value of the scroll design in modern design and the development trend in modern design,which provide guidance for the later design practice.Finally,the paper verified the connection between scroll design and its visual language and modern design,and pointed out the weakness and further research direction of the study through the design practice of "Openaway Design Hotel" theme.
