The Impact Of College Students' Ego-identity And Conflict Management Style On Their Relationship Quality

Nowadays,the phenomenon of College Students' love has become more and more popular,and the phenomenon of campus love has been paid much attention by many researchers.The relationship between the quality of relationship and conflict management has become the focus of the study of the relationship.At the same time,this period is also an important period for the development of ego identity of College students.Therefore,this study intends to explore the relationship between the quality of their romantic relationship,conflict management and self identity.In this study,129 pairs of couples were raised by recruiting,completed independently the relationship quality questionnaire,conflict management questionnaire and the Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status II.SPSS20.0 and Amos21.0 are used to analyze and process the data.The main analysis methods include factor analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis and the establishment of the actor-partner interdependence model(APIM).The main conclusions are as follows:(1)in relation to the quality,the support that girls perceived was significantly higher than that of boys(t=-3.34,p<0.001),there were no significant differences between girls and boys on the depth and the perception of conflict;(2)a majority of students were in the moratorium and transition state(63.6%).Boys' state was significantly higher than girls(t=4.15,p<0.001),no significant gender differences in the other state;(3)in the conflict management style,obliging,avoidance and compromise of boys were significantly higher than girls,girls' dominance was significantly higher than that of boys.(4)conflict management will affect the relationship of the perceived quality of lovers,paying more attention to the relationship and partner and active conflict management style is helpful to enhance the quality of the relationship,otherwise they will feel more conflict and less support and depth;in the partner effect,boys are significantly higher than girls.(5)who identity achievement tend to choose more obliging and more integration of conflict management to have access to the good quality of the relationship,and identity diffusion individuals tend to avoid the conflict,thus affecting the relationship between depth perception;identity foreclosure individuals will be in favor of dominating conflict management style,leading to experience more conflict in the relationship.
