Application And Research Of Designing Topic Package In Majiayao Painted Pottery Based On Semiotics

Majiayao culture is an important cultural heritage in prehistoric times,which is the artistic achievements created by the working people in three thousand years,and is the section cannot be ignored.Majiayao culture makes the basic form of culture and art in Gansu Province.Majiayao Painted Pottery was created for daily use by ancestors,which is also used in our modern life,especially in Gansu.Semiotics is the mainly method for researching on academic modern design,which is the essential subject in designing.It is the comprehensive and Interdisciplinary research of semiotics and design to apply Majiayao painted pottery topic in designing package,which breaks the boundaries among different subjects in diversified and intertwined academic research method explaining the connotation and artistry in Majiayao pottery patterns culture.Therefore,The main purpose of this paper is discussing how to combine Majiayao Painted Pottery with the semiotics to design a modern package in cultural,collection and aesthetic value based on studying Majiayao Pottery culture.Firstly,choosing the proper Peirce's Semiotics from the principle and style of semiotics to extend to the field of art and design,which analyses the excellent cases and knows the key points of semiotics in various forms of art.Second,Majiayao Pottery is interpreted as a special aesthetic value symbol in Gansu Province.Three topics,scenery,animal and geometric pattern,are studied with the characters of image,sign and symbol in Peirce's Semiotics,which summarize methods of topical pattern designing with deconstruction and reconstruction method.The visual symbol element in Majiayao painted pottery is integrated as a unique performance style in package designing,which can evaluate the culture value,and satisfy the spiritual and cultural needs.It is an Innovative way of package designing for the Gansu specialty.
