Archaeological discoveries in the He Huang Tao and Wei River Basin beginning with the Dadiwan Culture, passing through the Yangshao,Majiayao,Qijia,Siba,Xindian and Shajing Cultures. The Neolithic and Bronze Age cultures continued to develop in this region, giving birth to a very colorful prehistoric culture. These cultures began about 8,000 years ago to about 2500 years ago, which formed the only uninterrupted history of the development of painted pottery culture in China. The Majiayao Culture is He Huang Tao and Wei River Basin one of the most important Neolithic culture, which was the most prosperous period of the original painted pottery art in China. It can be said that it is a splendid painted pottery culture. The Majiayao culture can be divided into three types:the Majiayao types, the Panshan types, and the Machang types.Different types of painted pottery have their own characteristics.Elaborate patterns, with black red color;inside color dazzling eyes, colorful rich and varied;vivid animal lines, geometric fine lines.Among them, fish, frog, vortex, four circle patterns have been the hot topics of scholars. In the study of painted pottery in Majiayao culture, frog and human patterns have always been "tangled",they are regarded as a class, called human patterns "Waren patterns" and"Washen patterns",etc.,which are thought to have evolved from the development of frogpatterns. However, they are really two different ornaments, the frog patterns appear only briefly and are realistic patterns, while the human patterns are from realism to abstraction.Even the symbolization lasted for a long time.Through the analysis,we try to separate the frog and human stripes into two separate ornaments, hoping to use this as the "correct name"of the human patterns.
