As a literary genre, fairy tales have undergone a long development process, from its origin to its formation, from folk narrative to literary composition. After experiencing the 19th-century European Romanticism, internal divisions occurred in European fairy tales: their text structures, plots, and internal logic gradually became complex, resulting in the evolution from folk fairy tales to artistic fairy tales. Therefore, this article takes the European Romantic Fairy Tales in the 19th-Century as the core, the theory and practice of narrative stratification as the starting point. While, revisiting key concepts of narrative stratification theory, these concepts are systematically applied to European Romantic fairy tales in the 19th-Century.In the classic texts,I experienced the changing trend of narrative stratification structure in the 19 th century European romantic fairy tales.I reviewed the development history of European fairy tales from the perspective of narrative stratification structure changes, and concluded that European folk fairy tales promoted to the artistic fairy tales in the romantic period of the 19 th century was not it is inevitable that it is influenced by factors such as the carrier, the audience and the change of the author's stylistic concept. The above factors promote the development of European folk fairy tales to artistic fairy tales by acting on the narrative stratification structure, and promote the fairy tales in the form of text structure changed differentiated. The introduction, first chapter of this paper, presents the research status and the narration stratification theory of fairy tale of the European Romanticism in 19 th century.Taking narration stratification structure as an cutpoint,It studies the feasibility and innovation of styles changes of fairy tales behind the background of European Romanticism in the 19th-Century.The second chapter firstly elaborates the influence of Arabian folk literature represented by "one thousand and one nights" on European literature. Then,in order of Grimm's fairy tales,Howe's fairy tales,Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, and Aztec fairy tale,It expounds that Grimm's fairy, one of the folk fairytales, mostly adopt a mode of "implied author" when telling storys. The narrative level is relatively single, but in some works the narrative stratification structure began to germinate. The art fairy tales of Hoffman,Hauff, and others conducted innovation in narrative techniques in the creation process, which enabled the text to have multiple narrative levels and made full use of the narrative stratification structure. The third chapter of this paper, based on the narrative layering of the second chapter, explains the transgression of narrative levels in the artistic fairy tale,in order to clarify the narrative transgression and cyclical transgression structure of the European romantic fairy tale texts in the 19 th century. The fourth chapter of this paper is based on the comprehensive combination of stratification structure and fairytale tests of romanticism in the 19 th century elaborated in the first two chapters, suggesting that the birth of narrative stratification structure has a close relationship with the intervention of material carrier and changes of fairy tale style view. The changes of fairy tale style view affect on the creation of fairy tales, promoting the development of folk fairy tales to art fairy tales and a silhouette of which in Europe is the use of narrative stratification structure.
