Modern Chinese words lack morphological changes,and lots of grammar rely on virtual words and word orders.Therefore,functional words in modern Chinese are frequently used and their usages are relatively flexible.The coordinating conjunction ‘HE' belongs to a small class of functional words,which is a class A word in the Chinese level vocabulary and the outline of the Chinese characters.With regard to the current research on the conjunction ‘HE',academic research on the ontology of ‘HE' has yielded fruitful results.However,there are few research results on the errors in the conjunction ‘HE' of the Chinese teaching as a foreign language,and no one has yet studied Kenyan elementary Chinese learners as an object to specifically analyze the problems related to the conjunction ‘HE'.This article takes the CICCK as a teaching and research base,collects and sorts out various kinds of errors of the elementary Chinese learners' conjunction‘HE' in Kenya,analyzes the causes of the bias in details,puts forward some suggestions related to the teaching strategies of the conjunction ‘HE',at the same time shows a detailed classroom teaching design in order to help elementary Chinese learners in Kenya to more accurately grasp the usage rules of the conjunction ‘HE'.This thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is an introduction,which mainly explains the background and reasons for the topic selection,the theoretical basis,the research methods and the sources of corpus,and sums up the academic research on the status of the conjunction ‘HE'.The second part presents the type of misunderstanding of the conjunction ‘HE' for primary Chinese learners in Kenya.The third part analyzes the causes of the ‘HE' biases of Kenyan primary learners from the aspects of the migration of official language and the lack of teachers' teaching skills.The fourth part shows the relevant suggestions on the teaching strategy of the conjunction ‘HE' for Kenyan primary Chinese learners,and there is a detailed classroom teaching design which is made based on various factors.In the fifth part,through the trial tracking the classroom teaching design made by author,confirms the validity and practicality of the classroom teaching design.The last part summarizes the text's innovation and also elaborates the problems inthis article.
