A Study On The Artistic Characteristics Of Zhang XUAN's Epitaph

In the late Northern Wei Dynasty,there were many edifices of regular script epitaphs,shows different appearances for the different writers and engravers from all over Northern Wei."Zhang Xuan's Epitaph" is the most famous seal book of the end of Northern Wei Dynasty.It is a boutique in the inscriptions of the Wei Dynasty,and its style is unique.It belongs to the scope of edict,but it is different from the edict after the Southern Dynasties.Based on the background of its time,we studied the artistic features of its brushstrokes,knots,and tactics,and emphasized that we should look at the style of writing through the blade point.By the method of contrasting,the article compares "Zhang Xuan's epitaph" with his works in the background of "Yuan Huai's Epitaph " "Yuan Nin's Epitaph " "Li Bi's Epitaph " "Cui Jing xun's Epitaph " in brush strokes,knots,chapters,etc.,to compare the artistic charm of the inscriptions.Through the analysis and study of the brushwork and tactics contained in these epitaphs,we provide a reference for the creation and practice of our regular script books,so that we can learn from others.In the end,the article discusses the study of the inscriptions in the Wei dynasty by the calligraphers of the Qing Dynasty,especially their aesthetic and research on the inscription of Wei Dynasty,so that we could study the calligraphy of Northern Wei better.On the basis of summarizing the predecessors' practical experience,we can explore the relationship between the script and the development of the times,so that wecan enrich our own writing method,technique and art of composition,and to provide assistance for the creation and practice of our own script.
