The Reasons Of The Booming Development Of American Immigrant Investor Program

More and more overseas investors have been attracted by it since then. The AIIP is regarded as a shortcut to get the American green cards for investors. This means that investors and their children will enjoy the same social welfare and educational resources which equals to the American citizens. As a successful economic and political strategy, the AIIP has attracted a large number of talents and capital from all over the world. Based on the case study and interpretation of immigration policy, this paper is going to analyze the reason of booming development of the AIIP. By discussing the advantage of the program itself, the support from the federal government and the states government and the advantage in the global migration market, this paper tries to prove that the strong attraction to overseas investors is the leading cause of the booming development of AIIP.This paper is divided into three chapters apart from the introduction and conclusion. Chapter one endeavors to unveil the advantage of the program itself. AIIP(American Immigrant Investor Program) has the advantage of the excellent financing ability and the great ability of job creating. All the advantages listed above are good for investors to meet the related requirement firstly and get the green cards finally. In terms of the excellent financing ability, AIIP will benefit American economy by direct investment and indirect investment. In terms of the great ability of job creating, AIIP will ease the employment tension by creating direct job and indirect job. Therefore, with the excellent financing ability and great ability of job creating, AIIP has attracted a large number of overseas investors to America. The second chapter illustrates the support from government which includes the federal government and the states government. At first, the federal government modifies the immigration policy and collects investment data for investors. The federal government not only provides reliable economic data but also enhances investors' confidence to America. Second, the states government designs the special investment area and advertises the states immigration investment program regularly. It provides overseas investors with more helpful information which enhances their confidence to invest and migrate to America. The last chapter attempts to disclose the advantage of the AIIP in the global migration market by comparing it with its counterparts in Canada and Australia. The result shows that AIIP is more popular than its counterparts in Canada and Australia with less policy constraint, better social response and stricter supervision.
