With the development trend of world lightening penalty and the need of punishment, community correction has become to know by the society. Community correction not only promote the development of the criminal law but also innovation for the concept of legal system at the same time. The appearance of community correction make people realize that the custodial penalty is not the only reasonable way for punishment. The harsh criminal law cannot curb crime completely, and enlightenment is very limited. The emergence of community correction can make up for the present criminal law in the light of probation of blank and imprisonment penalty way improper consequences.It has been about 12 years that our country had startup the community correction since 2003. Guangzhou was the second batch to startup the community correction plan, but actually the community correction had been put into right track in 2010. Although Guangzhou's community correction despite its marvelous achievements, no one had made some conclusion about the model of Guangzhou's community correction. Guangzhou ‘s community correction develops slowly.The community correction has been throughout most of the area of Guangzhou, the frequency of the use of community correction is increasing these days, and its influence is also gradually improve. Community correction in Guangzhou has its advantages, but also exposed many problems in the process of work, these problems is not only happen in Guangzhou. This paper trying to find out the advantages of community correction in Guangzhou, and also trying to sort out the problems. Then draw lessons from these problems that we can know the most of the problems happen in our country, to know that if the model of community correction in Guangzhou can be used widely across the country.
