Human rights are always a controversial focus in Marxist philosophy and the investigation of human rights is a main clue in understanding Marxist philosophy. The human rights thought of Marx has experienced a long process. It sprouts from “the young Hegelians” and the first systematic dissertation of human rights was in Rheinische Zeitung period. In the time of German and French Almanac, Marx began to deny the human rights thought of the bourgeoisie and stepped on the way to criticize it. Based on the On the Jewish Question and the Zur Kritik der Hegelschen Rechts-Philosophie Einleitung, the paper not only discusses the Jewish problem, the problem of political liberation and human liberation, but also briefly reviews the development and content of Marx's early human rights thought. In this process,the essence of Marx human rights thought was detailed analyzed.This paper first briefly introduces the social, economic and political background of Marx's human rights thought and summarizes the development process of Marx's human rights thought before the period of German and French Almanac. The key points are in the second, third and fourth part which detailed analyzes the specific human rights thought of Marx and its essence based on the two works Marx published during the period of German and French Almanac. Through the analysis of On the Jewish Question, the paper recognizes the separation of civil society and political state brought by the political liberation as well as the dualistic process that leads to human rights and civil rights and discloses the hypocrisy and deception of civil society egoism in the capitalist country. As for Zur Kritik der Hegelschen Rechts-Philosophie Einleitung, through analyzing the specific possibility of human liberation, the undertaker and the way to realize the human liberation and the combination of the historical mission of the proletariat, the paper dissects the essence of Marx's human rights in this period. Then the paper reviews the Marx's human rights thought involved in the two articles and detailed analyzes the relevance among the problems of the human liberation, the private property rights, human rights connotation and the methodology of Marx's human rights thought. In the fifth part, it mainly introduces the historic significance of Marx's human rights thought during this period and the positive value to the construction of the modern human rights cause.
