Research On Construction Of Political Civilization In Jilin Rural Areas

As the core of political civilization, political system is one typical feature of modern democratic politics that hold strict rules about the administration of political power, which means it rejects any break in any way. The right to vote is the basic democratic right. Since the Third Plenary Session of the 11 th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the reform has brought about great changes in democratic voting system in rural areas. The right to vote has no longer nothing inside, and farmers get real power to vote. In recent years, the marketing economic system gives farmers more freedom and broader space to develop the economy, changing the closed state ever. The political civilization in rural areas has made great progress in political system, political awareness and political behaviors. This is very helpful in breaking the traditional conservative Chinese thoughts and increasing the freedom in economics and politics, cultivating the free opinions and awareness too. Most farmers are considering self value and power which used to be thought these things are none of their business. The 16 th Congress of the CPC pointed out that building well-off society in an all-around way and realize modernization. The most important goal is to develop socialism democratic economics and build socialism political civilization. The socialistic political civilization with Chinese characteristics is a long-term project with great effort. As a huge agricultural country, political civilization in rural areas seems to be very important.This thesis can consists of six parts. The first part gives a brief account of the background and research significance, and presents literature reviews of the topic. In the second part, the thesis presents the general statement of political civilization and what it is like in China. The third parts mainly discusses the problems in building political civilization in rural areas in Jilin Province. In the fourth part, the thesis comes up with countermeasures for the problems. At last it concludes what has been discussed in the thesis.
