Although American is often misunderstood as a state which is the supremacy of materialistic hedonism,in fact, the influence of Christianity,especially the Protestantism,has been in the beginning of the birth of the United States. The Protestant and early colonial of North America is growth up together,the birth of America is bathed in the light of the Protestant spirit,the development of the United States and powerful and is closely related to the Protestant.When the "Mayflower" arrived in North America which is on the other side of the Atlantic, the puritans decided that there is the land of Canaan, in where could be built "the city upon a hill", in order to bring glory to God. The Great Awakenings has pulled the American back into the embrace of God and made the “American Creed” to get further strengthened in the minds of the people of the United States.The outbreak of the war of Independence made the Protestant in the United States to consolidate and develop,it also laid a solid foundation for the integration of the United States of America.The Protestant moral values are the core of America's moral and social values, liberalism? nationalism are draw nutrients from the protestant idea and developed into a core of American culture.Individualism?natural rights?equality?the view of contract?the concept of separation of church and state is a special public political figure has a profound influence on the people of the United States,the function of the political operation in the United States through their political behavior can not be ignored.The management system of the Protestant provides a reference model for the United States government,the idea of obedience, honesty and fraternity, which comes from the Protestant, provides a good foundation for the good operation of the American system of government.The Protestant also has some influence on the foreign policy of the United States.In the United States lack of strength, Protestant values prompted the United States to take "isolationism" foreign policy,and when the United States is strong, the United States will choose "expansion" and "interference" under the influence of the values of Protestant.
