Research On Filial Piety Education Of Community In Contemporary China

Promoting Chinese traditional virtues is important connotation of the construction of the intellectual civilization. The Chinese traditional virtue includes benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, faith, sincere, brave, and filial piety is the foundation of the Chinese traditional ethics. Confucius considered that the filial piety is the foundation of the virtue. At the family level, supporting one's parents is filial piety education. At the national level, patriotism is filial piety education. Filial piety education should be valued in order to carry forward the Chinese traditional virtue, improve national quality, and cultivate the national patriotism.Recently, facing ageing populations and the problem of supporting the elder, it is important to promote Chinese traditional virtues of supporting the elder. Even if our economy developed rapidly, we still should establish traditional virtues of supporting the elder. We should improve the consciousness of filial piety education of community, and develop a atmosphere of supporting the elder. Through the ages, filial piety is social standard of Chinese moral ethics. It gradually eliminated the feudal dross and foolish ideas, learned from the excellent achievements of human civilization, and translated into modern filial piety. It played an important role in today's society. However, though these traditional virtues developed in modern community, the report of loss morality reflected many problems of filial piety virtue education of community.This paper focused on filial piety virtue education of community. On the basis of summarizing the research achievements of academia, the connotation, origin and value of filial piety virtue education of community has been analyzed. The current situation of filial piety virtue education of community has been investigated, the main contents and basic methods of filial piety virtue education of community has been discussed, the strategy of improving filial piety virtue education has been putted forward. Spreading filial piety virtue education and carrying forward Chinese new filial piety culture have been emphasized.
