AbstractThe mass line is the Chinese Communist Party's fundamental guideline of work, and is an important magic weapon for the party to win the victories in CPC's long-term leadership of revolution and construction. With the development of reform and opening-up, new changes have taken place in the international situations, and new domestic contradictions and problems arise here and there, which poses a great challenge to the Party's mass line. Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC, the new central leadership attaches great importance to the mass work under the new normal background, and further inherit and develop the Party's mass line. And meanwhile the related researches have also developed continuously in this period, the connotation of the masses continue to develop, and the methods to practice the mass line are also constantly innovated, but there are some defects in this field.The author analyzes the new changes in the international and domestic situations since the 18 th CPC National Congress, and summarizes the theoretical source and practical basis since the 18 th CPC National Congress, revealing the fact that the Party's mass line, the mass outlook of Marxism-Leninism and the relevant view of the masses and the mass line held by the previous collective leadership of the CPC are the same strain and keep pace with the times. The main content of the party's mass line since the 18 th CPC National Congress is summarized mainly as followed : leading cadres should continuously improve the level of mass work under the new situation; the people's desire for a better life is our goal; the mass concept that people are supreme shoud be firmly established; the mass view should be learned from the masses; China dream, in the final analysis, is the dream of the people; to usher in a new era of ecological civilization and to build a beautiful China is the desire of all Chinese people. At the same time, the author summerizes the realizing mathods of practising the party's mass line: change ideas, improve the relationship between the party and the masses and the system and mechanism; comprehensively deepen reform so that the people have more sense of access; govern for the people, safeguarding the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people; practice“three stricts and three steadis”, constraining the power in the “cage”; vigorously develop the economy, paying attention to ensuring and improving people's livelihood; to carry out educational practice of the mass line to improve the understanding of the mass line of the party; carry out the educational study "study two and one act" to wholeheartedly realize the party's purpose of serving the people.
