Study Of Teenagers' Religious Identity In Western Ethnic Areas

China is a multinational country with complex ethnic problems since ancient times. And these problems have been more intricate presently. In modern China, ethnic problems are always closely related with religious beliefs. So, in a sense, the fundamental way of solving these problems depends largely on solving the conflicts among various religious beliefs. Teenagers is the future of the country, the hope of the Chinese nation. To solve the problem of religious beliefs, we need to start from our teenagers. Thus, it is of great importance to do research on religious belief of the teenagers. In western minority area, the special geographical position and the development of local religious beliefs attribute to its teenagers'complicated problems in beliefs. Indeed, the first and foremost thing to do is having a deeply understanding of the local teenagers'religious identification.This research adopts questionnaire survey, field survey, individual interview and documents analysis methods. Firstly, the connotation of western minority area teenagers'religious identification, including religious worldview identification, national identification, religious cultural identification and religious moral identification, and their expressions in reality were analyzed from the theoretical aspect. Furthermore the four aspects' respective relations with religious identification, as well as the combination with teenagers' religious identification were revealed. Then, a detailed investigation and discussion were given on the subjects' religious identification. According to the result and previous theoretical basis, the thesis also studied the reasons of these different identifications. Next, based on the research of the religious identification from teenagers of Tibetan Autonomous County of Tianzhu.Gansu, this thesis enlarge its subjects to the whole western ethnic region and concluded the common points of teenagers'religious identification of all the ethnic region. Finally, aiming at these problems found in teenagers, the author gave some particular suggestions to guide ethnic region teenagers religious identification, and make them in concert with our national, ethnic, cultural and road identification.
