On The Improvement Of China's Religious Legislation

Freedom of religious belief is a fundamental human right recognized by the international community and is the right of everyone to enjoy. Citizens in the realization of freedom of religious belief in the process of inevitably with others,society, the relationship between the country, which requires religious legislation to adjust the relationship between religion and society, the state in order to achieve a balance. Religious legislation has the important meaning of the rule of law to protect the freedom of religious belief, to maintain the harmony of religion and society and to promote the rule of law. Looking back at history, we can see that our religious legislation has undergone a period of three periods: the new-democratic period, the founding of the People's Republic of China, before the reform and opening-up. For the time being, China has initially established a religious legislation system composed of the Constitution, laws, administrative regulations, departmental rules and local laws and regulations, and clarifies the separation of church and state, freedom of religious belief and religious affairs management. However, through the religious legislation of our country, we can see that it still has the lack of legislation level, the freedom of religious freedom and the lack of religious autonomy. In view of these shortcomings, our country needs to develop the religious basic law to improve the effectiveness of religious legislation, to further clarify the boundaries of religious freedom, and establish the basic system of religious autonomy.
