Confucius is the Chinese most influential thinkers,the educationalist,is the China traditional culture main body—Confucian school of thought founder and the theoryprototype founder.His thought and the theory have all made the immortal contribution forthe Chinese civilization and even the world civilization.Since Confucius has studied is thefounding of the nation the academic circles and even one of social from all walks of lifeattention focal point questions.Machiavelli can be counted as one of the most controversial thinkers of the history of political philosophy.For his theory,many philosophers have their own different interpretations.As for this,Machiavelli became a mystery.Confucius and Machiavelli ideological background great difference,but the idea of comparing the two still have great value.The first part of this paper concludes:research methods,research status at home and abroad.The second and third part analyzes the historical mission of Confucius and Machiavelli's era and the doctrine of the two theories.It is concluded that although the times and social conditions are different,the problems of the times There is a certain similarity,but also analyzes the content of the two political ideas.The fourth part combs the political thoughts of Confucius and Machiavelli:the view of state,human nature and morality,and summarizes it.The article reveals the essence of Confucius and N.Machiavelli's political conceptions.These theories left their time behind in manyways and are still valid today:the ideology of Confucianism is one of the foundations of the economic and political consolidationof China;Machiavellianism was and still is an effective strategy in both foreign and domestic policy of states.The author pays mainattention to the comparative analysis of these two theories and concludes which one is the most relevant in modern policy.
