In modern American society,Hispanic immigrants have long been experiencing discrimination from American society and the new elected 45 th president of United States,Donald Trump also set limitation on immigration. This limitation on the surface is on the illegal immigrants, but in fact, leads to ethnic minority panic and Mexican immigrants in Hispanic immigration are the first to bear the brunt. And the sharply growing number of Hispanic immigration triggers American conservative elites to worry about their dominance,so,from many aspects, they argue that Hispanic immigrants pose threats to American society and American national identity and they don't think that Hispanic immigrants will assimilate to American society. After in-depth study, the author of the thesis found that, first of all, national attributes of Hispanic immigrants is reasonable, especially in the context of today's multiculturalism in the United States.Again, the author takes internal factors in Hispanic Americans and external social environment into consideration and gets a conclusion that in the last half century progress of Hispanic Americans is very significant, and it is the unequal American social system that threatens the survival of Hispanic immigrants. And its physical and psychological harm which inequality brings to Hispanic immigrants is an obstacle for them to assimilate into American society.Such an unequal system is constructed by a small number of worried conservative elites and influences American people. The worried idea is a new racism for Hispanic immigrants and is racial discrimination. Then the idea is up to the legal level, which formed a bad cycle. The thesis is for the rectification of Hispanic Americans and refutes the fallacy that Hispanic Americans is driving force behind the future secession of American national identity.Hispanic Americans have made progress in American economy and education.
