The Research On Deng Xiaoping's Socialist Ideology

China's construction of socialist ideology has experienced an arduous and tortuous development,and withstood severe challenges as well.Since the third Plenary Session of the 11 th CPC Central Committee,President Deng Xiaoping had developed the theory of socialist ideology,according to the international and domestic conditions at that time,and having made it play a vital role in Chinese society.President Deng's theory is on one hand an improvement of the previous version,and on the other hand an important theoretical innovation,which has a guiding and promoting effect on China's socialist modernization process.It is of great significance to clarify the historical position of Deng Xiaoping's socialist ideology,meanwhile systematically,comprehensively and accurately study this scientific theory and apply it to the reinforcement of the mainstream ideology in the new period.This paper mainly consists of two parts: introduction and the main body.Introduction includes the reason that this research topic is chose;the theoretical and practical significance of the research;the literary review at home and abroad;and the definition of the relevant concepts.Besides,the research methods and innovation will also be elaborated.The main body consists of the following four parts.The first part: the theoretical and realistic background of Deng Xiaoping's thought of socialist ideology.This part discusses the theoretical origin of Deng Xiaoping's thought of socialist ideology from the three levels of Marx,Lenin and Mao Zedong;and the realistic background of Deng's theory will also be discussed based on the domestic and international conditions at that time and the challenges China's ideology has faced.The second part: Deng Xiaoping's innovation of the socialist ideology discourse.This part systematically expounds the innovation brought by president Deng's theory,from the following five aspects: the scientific evaluation of history and historical figures;new generalization of socialist doctrines;the establishment of Four BasicPrinciples as China's foundational theory;the construction of the socialist spiritual civilization and the implement of “one nation,two systems”.The third part: the characteristics and historical position of Deng Xiaoping's socialist ideology thought.This part explores four characteristics of Deng Xiaoping's socialist ideology thought: the unification of the inheritance and development;the coexistence of science and value;the combination of theory and practice;and the agreement between controversy and non-controversy.Based on its historical position,a detailed explanation will be made from the following three aspects: the new developmental stage of the Marxist ideology theory in China;the Reform and Opening up and the scientific guide and unified thinking of the socialist modernization;the core components of the theories of Chinese characteristic socialism.The fourth part: the basic experience of Deng Xiaoping 's socialist ideology thought.This part focuses on four aspects of the experience of President Deng's theory: its firm advocacy of the guiding position of the Marxism in China;the innovation of the ideological discourse system based on the reality;the strengthening of the Party's leadership in ideological area;and the appeal for the emphasis on ideological and political education.Based on the systematic and comprehensive analysis of Deng Xiaoping 's theory of socialist ideology,this thesis provides a critical ideological support for the construction of socialist ideology in the new period,and also plays an active role in guiding and promoting China' s modernization.
