| Though it's far apart from East Timor to China,the relationship between them is long-standing and well-established,especially in political affairs and folk form.Since China established diplomatic relations with East Timor in 2002,the relationship between them has been in a smooth progress.East Timor,which lies in a relative advantageous position,is featured with rich natural resources,while China has been the second largest economy in the world because of its huge market and 30-year-old rapid growth in GDP.At present,East Timor,one of the least developed countries in Asia,whose economy relies on petroleum exports a great deal.East Timor has difficulties in developing its agriculture and industry resulting from a lack of advanced equipments and enough capital.The rapid-developing China has a large amount of capital,technology,talents,but its mineral resources hardly satisfy the development of economy.China is eager to find more natural resources and explore a larger foreign market.China put forward the conception of "One Road,One Belt" in2013 when East Timor responded positively to this conception as one of the "maritime Silk Road",.This paper aims at analyzing the relationship between China and East Timor in politics,economy,education,hygiene and reconstruction since they established their diplomatic relations in 2002.According to the analysis,key factors are concluded and the effective solutions are summarized as the followings.1.To establish the industrial park of bilateral cooperation.2.To maintain the friendly and mutual-trust political cooperation between Sino-East Timor.3.To carry out the cooperation between Sino-East Timor in energy.It goes without saying that there are some barriers between the development of Sino-East Timor diplomatic relations,but it's a obvious tendency that the relationship between Sino-East Timor based on their common hope and interests will be better in the future.China and East Timor will develop better in multi-field and multi-level cooperation. |
