With the rapid development of medical technology and information technology, people's expectations of the level of medical serve are becoming higher and higher, and the consciousness of rights safeguarding in medical accidents is stronger than before. In 2015, internet media reported many injury events because of medical disputes. Now, doctor-patient relationships have deteriorated sharply in China, and the mutual distrust between doctors and patients seriously affects the social stability and harmony. Under the background of this social environment, it is need to build a bridge between doctors and patients to communicate and rebuild their trust, that is, to open the resolving channels of medical dispute. Compared with other traditional way, the third-party mediation organizations have obvious advantages which can get involved as the role of the third party to mediate disputes. As a medical province in central area, medical disputes occurred frequency is very high in Wuhan. It is badly in need of a third party to handle medical disputes mediation system to study, to make it perfect and play a role.Firstly, the article expounds the theory basis realistic basis and advantage of thirdparty medical dispute mediation. Secondly, through analyzing the existing status of thirdparty medical dispute mediation in Wuhan, its problems can be drew in the following aspects: lack of authority, lack of professionalism, lack of medical liability insurance system, lack of legislation and the mediation procedure is not standard, lack of trust. Through the study, it is found the causes include social factors, government factors, health care system factors and more.By adopting qualitative research approaches such as literature analysis, comparative analysis and questionnaire design, analyses successful model of the third-party mediation organizations At home and abroad. To promote the mechanism for third-party mediation, the government should strengthen the publicity to raise public' awareness; set up a professional team; build system of medical liability insurance; establish no-fault medical damage compensation system; make sure the support of the government; establish a supervision mechanism to ensure the independence and neutrality of the third-party mediation organizations; the third party mediation should actively entering the hospital.
