Study On Community Correction In Shunde District Of Foshan City

Community correction is a kind of non imprisonment punishment,according with the mainstream of criminal law, such as light punishment, humanism and so on,which can help criminals return to society with flexible, inclusive way. In recent years, chinese community correction legal system is forming, but there is no detailed provisions on the specific operation, so that there is no uniform standards around the practice. The development of various cities in China is very uneven, which makes the cities must find their own position, according to their actual situation, explore the suitable management,the development of community correction mode.Shunde district is long in the national hundred counties(districts) forefront, who's economic conditions have reached a more advanced level, the population composition of the area also has its own characteristic, with the genneral idear of “government organization and leadership, the specific implementation of the Department, the participation of the community”, has finded a set of community correction mode which is suitable for its own characteristics. But it started late, is still in the primary stage of exploration, there is improved space in Government investment, the scope of application of the correction personnel, correction team, corrective measures, etc.This paper tries to analyze the current situation of community correction in Shunde district, referencing to the domestic and foreign advanced practices, under the existing legal framework, propose that Shunde district may refer Shanghai mode, take the programme of “government led, social participation to promote community correction”,suggests that Shunde district may improve the community correction with increasing government input, strengthening the team, expanding the scope of the correction object,enriching the means of correction to achieve a more significant effect.
