A Study On The Construction Of National Identity Of The Ethnic Minority Groups In The Frontier Areas

Since the foundation of People's Republic of China,particularly since the reform and opening up,the politics,economy,culture,society and ecological civilization in frontier areas have made great achievements.Ethnic Minority groups in the frontier areas have deepened the identification of the nation.On the other hand,some new situations and new problems have brought new challenges for the national identity of the ethnic minority groups in the frontier areas.To strengthen the construction of minority national identity under the new situation has important practical significance for enhancing the the national identity of the ethnic minority groups in the frontier areas.This article is divided into two parts-the preface and text,containing four chapters.Introduction The practical significance to strengthen the studies on construction of national identity of frontier minority is illuminated,and related research literature is combed and analyzed,specifying research ideas and methods.The first chapter Based on defining the concept of national identity and ethnic identity,the basic connotation of national identity of frontier minority is exploredThe second chapter Analyzing the status and the problems facing national identity of the frontier minority in the new period.The third chapterIt also analyzes the main factors influencing the minorities' national identity in the frontier area including the value orientation of the ethic system and ethic policy,social differentiation and recombination in the process of marketization,historical culture and religion belief,cross-border social interaction and geopolitical environment.The fourth chapterThis paper puts forward some countermeasures to strengthen the construction of the border minorities' national identity recognition.It mainly includes: 1.From "emphasizing the nation" to "emphasizing the region",adjusting the value orientation of the policy to enhance the national identity;2.Combining the policy power and the inherent potentiality of the economic and social development of the minorities in the frontier area;3.To build the interests of the communion,the formation of complementary and co-existing ethic identity and national identity mechanism;4.Taking national consciousness as the orientation,cultivate the common pursuit of values of the minorities in the frontier area.
